Seema Rao works with mixed media to create site – specific installations. Her work displays and stimulates interaction between her work and its audience in the public realm. She is also particularly interested in creating installations in spaces beyond the parameters of established art spaces as she engages with the role and relationships of the individual in a changing society. Her large-scale site - specific installations were in San Francisco/ Oakland Biennale, St Pancras Chambers, the Hackney Empire, Spital Square, London and in the Medieval churches in Kent and also shown in Galleries in London, Bolivia, India, USA and UAE
